WYSA Rules and Regulation –Article 4 PLAYING IN A HIGHER AGE GROUP (Guest Players)
4.1 Clubs operating more than one team may occasionally utilize the services of a player registered in a lower Division or in a lower Age Division. Clubs that don’t have a lower division, or lower age division team may utilize the services of their club players transferred to a lower division or lower age division of another club within the district. If a player is occasionally to play in a higher Division or a higher Age Division, the following provisions must be met:
(a) Players transferred within their district may only appear as guest with the home club.
(b) The permission of the coach of the lower Division or lower Age Division team must be obtained.
(c) The name of the player from the lower Division or lower Age team must appear with an appropriate designation on the game sheet;
(d) A player registered on a higher age Division recreational team may be allowed to play as a guest player in the Premier/Regional and Developmental division in their defined age group or a higher age group up to a total combination of five league games.
(e) Players transferred to a non premier team in another district can only play as a guest player on their home premier, regional and competitive/Developmental teams.
(f) Premier team players may only appear as a guest with their Premier Club.
Regional team players may only appear as a guest with their own Premier or Regional Club.
Developmental team players may only guest with their own Premier, Regional, and/or Developmental Clubs.
4.2(a) A player is allowed five games in a higher Division or higher Age Division, in league play and play-offs. In league play, a team may not use more than three (3) guest players per match. A team may use guest players during Play-offs and or Challenge Cup games to a maximum game roster of 11 (eleven) players. Guest players must be clearly indicated on the game sheet.
Defaulting Games –
WYSA Rules and Regulation - 5.4 DEFAULTING GAMES
(a) i) Any team defaulting any game shall lose the game 5-0, will have 5 (five) points deducted from the standings and shall be assessed game fees for that game.
ii) Premier / Regional clubs that have teams default games, in addition to having 5 (five) points deducted, will be fined $100.00 (One Hundred dollars) per game defaulted.
The official will wait the ‘grace time’ and then on the game sheet write the defaulting team’s name, the reason, and sign it. The referee shall notify their referee-in-chief or assignor.

Rule and Regulation: Tampering
Tampering – is considered to have occurred by the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association, when individuals "interfere" with youth players from another club/team from outside their recognized boundaries in an attempt to solicit players onto their team.
1. "Boundaries": Coaches, Team Staff, and/or District/Club Technical Staff who are found and proven to be communicating directly with players and/or parents of players from outside their designated geographic boundaries (this would include clubs trying to secure the services of rural players without going through the Premier Committee); in order to solicit that player for their team/club, without the prior written approval of the player's District/Club president or duly appointed delegate shall be deemed to be "Tampering".
a. No coach and/or official from within a club may correspond with anyone in regards to obtaining a specific player from outside their boundaries.
b. In the event that a player and/or parent from outside a club’s boundary corresponds with a coach or team/official in regards to a transfer, the coach or team/official must then report this correspondence to their club director, whom will then pass this information onto the WYSA Premier Committee Chairperson.
c. "Tampering" will include such players participating in training, games, travel, or any team activity. Any Coach, Team Staff, and/or District/Club Technical Staff proven to be tampering shall face a minimum penalty of a 1-year suspension.
Punishment: - Coach and Players face a 1-year minimum suspension. Presided over by the WYSA Disciplinary Committee
